A LOVER'S revenge used to involve cutting up your exes clothes, or ordering dozens of pizzas to be delivered to his house.
But one warring couple have broadcast their split across the world - by taking it onto the internet.
The spat began when Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales used his online encyclopaedia to dump Canadian right-wing commentator Rachel Marsden.
In response to his message claiming: "I am no longer involved with Rachel Marsden", she auctioned off his clothes on Ebay.
The listing, showing a picture of Ms Marsden in a black t-shirt, reads: "Hi, my name is Rachel and my (now ex) boyfriend, Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales, just broke up with me via an announcement on Wikipedia.
"It was such a classy move that I was inspired to do something equally classy myself, so I'm selling a couple of items of clothing he left behind."
The matter also sparked a debate over whether Mr Wales broke his own 'neutrality' rules of Wikipedia by redrafting the online biography of Ms Marsden before she became his lover.
But Mr Wales claims to have notified the Wikipedia board of the matter before meeting Ms Marsden in person.
Meanwhile, bids for his t-shirt on Ebay are stacking up as the saga continues.
